How to
go Beyond

Each year we host a Beyond Music Project led by a world-renowned producer. The producer sets a musical theme around which members of our community join together in collaborations to develop pieces of music across cultures and genres. The most unusual musical formations are awarded with 80,000 US dollar in prize money. In addition, the best music pieces will form the Beyond Music album, which will be created by the producer.

The producer of the Beyond Music album Vol.1 was four-time Grammy Award winner Larry Klein. Legendary drummer Manu Katché was the producer of our Beyond Music album Vol.2.

For our Beyond Music Project Vol.3, we were delighted to work with 5-time Grammy Award winners Michael League & Bill Laurance. It was an exciting journey to the album Vol.3, which you can relive including all award winners, submissions, videos and photos.

Our Beyond Music Project Vol.4 will launch in the spring of 2023 and we will announce all information in time.

Procedure &
Schedule Vol.4

1. Collaboration Phase

Connect with professional musicians, composers, singers and songwriters from all over the world within the Beyond Music community. Share your experiences and talk about possible collaborations. Work together on an original piece of music that reflects the musical focus of this year's project, "Social Change". Your collaboration must involve a minimum of three artists, of which at least two hail from different cultural backgrounds in line with Beyond Music's idea of "connecting cultures through music". Any genre or combination of genres is welcome. You are free to choose the style of music. The choice of powerful lyrics is of great importance in Vol.4.

Awards
and prize money

The 16 music pieces selected by the producer team will each receive an award. The prize money per award is a maximum of 5,000 US dollars. Each member of a winning team will receive 1,000 US dollars for the participation, up to a group size of five members. Collaborations of more than five artists must share the prize money of 5,000 US dollars equally. In addition, the artist teams will benefit from the exploitation of the music.
