Lo Sivano is a remix of a traditional Kurdish folk song. The song was played by musicians from Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan), Bakur (Turkish Kurdistan), and Golan Heights (Israeli-occupied Syria). Sivan is a common male name in Kurdish that means shepherd, but also has the more subtle meaning of protector of the community. The song is an ode to the young generation of Kurds who have been forced to become fighters and protectors in the ongoing conflict that has become their normal day-to-day life.
Big Bang is a song that addresses the conflict of human existence through 4 great milestones, Creation, Human Intelligence, War and Time, through 4 onomatopoeias: BIG-BANG, BOM BOM, BUM BUM and TIC TAC. The participation of the invited musicians brings that transcendental mystique of Kurdish and Syrian expression, which goes back to the origins of human civilization. This pulse marked by war and exile is complemented by the Chilean author song, always supplied with the unavoidable Latin American poetry.
